Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. and you should start receiving regular screenings at age 50. While colorectal cancer is treatable, it has a high mortality rate because by the time noticeable symptoms develop it is much harder to cure. The good news is, cancer screenings can catch the disease in the early stages so you can begin treatment early and stand a much better chance of fighting it.
