Saint Francis at Home recently received a 5-star rating, the highest possible, by the Centers
for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on its first patient experience
of care ratings. Saint Francis at Home is one of only two home health
agencies in Delaware to receive a five-star patient experience rating.
Patients of Saint Francis at Home responded to CMS survey questions regarding
the home health team’s communications with patients; whether the
team discussed medicines, pain, and home safety with patients; how patients
rate the overall care from the agency; and whether patients would recommend
the agency to friends and family. All home health patients answered the
Patient experience of care ratings for all home health agencies in the
state can be found on the
Home Health Compare tool at Medicare.gov. The Home Health Compare tool offers consumers easy
access to authoritative information on provider quality for home health
agencies that are certified by Medicare.
“A growing number of patients prefer to receive medical services,
such as nursing care and therapies, in their own homes,” said Brian

This is the second exceptional rating Saint Francis at Home has received
from CMS in less than a year. In June 2015, the home health provider received
4.5-stars for its high quality of patient care. Ratings were based on
process and outcome measures tracked by CMS.
