The global situation is changing rapidly, and we are adapting daily to ensure you receive the latest medical care based on data-driven guidelines and protocols from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are confident in our ability to continue delivering the compassionate care that has been a hallmark of our national, mission-driven health care system for many years.

What is our current visitor policy?
We are instituting strict visiting restriction. For the immediate future, NO visitors will be allowed in our facility. Read more about this policy change below.

What to do if you think you COVID-19?
Call your health care provider if you feel sick with fever, cough or difficulty breathing. Let your provider know if you have been in close contact with a person who has COVID-19. Your health care professional will determine if you need to be tested for COVID-19.

What to do if you have an existing appointment?
Contact your physician’s office directly for confirmation or further direction.

No Visitors are Allowed in Our Facilities

Some exceptions will be made for extenuating circumstances. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis for:

  • Children treated at the hospital
  • Maternity units
  • Patients receiving end-of-life care

For approved exceptions, only one visitor per patient will be allowed. They must be:

  • 18 or older
  • Either immediate family members, powers of attorney, guardians or patient representatives
  • Healthy with no symptoms of illness including respiratory or fever

What We are Doing for Patients and Colleagues

The ongoing global spread Coronavirus Disease 2019 (also called COVID-19) is an emerging, rapidly evolving global public health concern. We are working 24/7 with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) along with state and local authorities to protect your health, the health of our colleagues and the communities we serve. We continue to closely monitor the situation, and provide up-to-date information as it becomes available.

Steps we are taking to ensure we protect patients and colleagues in all our care sites, include:

  • Encouraging those who are ill with fever, cough or shortness of breath to call ahead to our care sites and requiring colleagues who feel ill to stay home;
  • Following CDC guidelines for use of personal protective equipment (such as masks and gowns);
  • Restricting visitors;
  • Signage at entry points and in some cases, screenings; and
  • Developing alternative locations for ill patients to get care.

Precautions You Can Take

You can take precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you are sick with COVID-19, or suspect you are infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, follow the steps below to help prevent the disease from spreading to people in your home and community:

  • Stay home except to get medical care
  • Call ahead before visiting your doctor
  • Separate yourself from other people and animals in your home
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes
  • Wash and sanitize your hands often
  • Avoid sharing personal household items
  • Clean all “high-touch” surfaces everyday
  • Monitor your symptoms
  • Discontinue home isolation under the following conditions:
    • At least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since recovery defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath); and,
    • At least 7 days have passed since symptoms first appeared.

A Donation Center will be set up at Saint Francis Hospital at the Loading dock on DuPont Street (behind the hospital).

Donation Center hours are Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (Hours may change due to staffing).
