How to Apply

Special Notice: All interviews this season will be virtual. Details will be provided at the time of interview invitation.

Thank you for your interest in our residency program. Applications to our program must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We encourage applicants to apply when ERAS begins accepting applications, which is typically in mid-September. The residency participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

Requirements

A complete application consists of:

  • a Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
  • a USMLE transcript with Step 1 and Step 2 CK scores OR a COMLEX-USA transcript with Level 1 and Level 2 CE scores
  • a medical school transcript
  • a curriculum vitae (CV)
  • a personal statement
  • at least three letters of recommendation (LOR)
  • and for IMG applicants, an ECFMG Status Report for Pathway/OET completion

A complete application that meets minimum qualifications additionally includes:

  • Graduation from a(n):
    • Allopathic medical school in the US or Canada accredited by LCME
    • Osteopathic medical school in the US accredited by AOA
    • Medical school outside the US that is recognized by the ECFMG
  • US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible Visa status (J-1 only)

A complete application that additionally includes the following is given stronger consideration:

  • Passing USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK, with no more than one fail overall OR Passing COMLEX-USA Level 1 and Level 2 CE, with no more than one fail overall
  • Completion of medical school within the last three (3) years; or completion of medical school within the last five (5) years AND currently working as a licensed physician

Due to the number received, applications with more than one fail and/or more than three years from graduation are typically not considered for interview.

Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted only through ERAS. Interview scheduling, status updates, and all other communications are also only through ERAS.
