Attending a Saint Francis Perinatal Class is Easy!
We offer a flexible four-to-six-week course– an option for six classes
in total–so you’re ready for baby. Here’s what you can

Beyond learning the basics about labor and the birth process, we give accurate
information to help ease anxiety, discuss healthy living and provide you
with relaxation techniques. You also get to understand your labor from

Pain Relief and Medical Management
Here you’ll learn all about pain relief during labor, epidurals and
Unexpected Labor Events
Did you know that one-third of our class participants end up having a C-section?
That’s why preparing yourself for an unexpected labor event is so
important. This class provides an in-depth look at C-sections, as well
as other events.
Child Birth Q&A
This is your opportunity to ask anything and everything about childbirth.
You’ll tour Saint Francis, see the birthing rooms and where visitors
can stay and learn about parking. Ask away!
Breastfeeding Your Baby (One 2-hour session)
Breastfeeding can be a great bonding experience and a way to jumpstart
your baby’s immune system. We help you with how to feed, how to
collect and store breast milk, getting baby to latch on and answer common
Buttons and Bows–All About Baby (One 2-hour session)
Get a realistic picture of what life is like after baby arrives. We focus
on how to care for your newborn and things that could arise while caring
for baby. You learn how to bathe and how to identify signs of illness.
Our experienced caregivers can help you anticipate some of the common
issues that arise for new parents.
