Women's Services : Dr. Richard Henderson
Dr. Henderson is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist. His practice at St. Francis Hospital offers comprehensive OB/GYN services, including routine exams and screenings, prenatal care and delivery, and treatments for heavy bleeding and menopause. He also performs minimally invasive surgical procedures such as hysterectomy and myomectomy using the da Vinci® robotic surgery system, which means less trauma and blood loss, and a quicker recovery and return to normal activities.
Dr. Henderson received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University and is a graduate of the Howard University College of Medicine. He completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Wilmington Medical Center in 1984.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), Dr. Henderson is active at both the local and national levels with efforts to ensure quality health care for women.
Dr. Henderson was in private practice in Wilmington, Delaware before joining the staff at St. Francis Hospital. He remains committed to providing the highest quality health care for all women and working to assure access to care for all.
