Outpatient appointments available 7 days a week, including evenings, with same day or next day scheduling. Accommodate STAT studies with reports called or faxed to physician offices. Virtually all insurances accepted. Convenient enclosed parking.

X-Ray Studies

• General x-rays

  All areas of the body including neck, spine, chest, abdomen and extremities. Fluoroscopic studies of the gastrointestinal tract - upper GI, small bowel series and barium enemas. Vast experience with bariatric procedures. Intravenous urograms (IVPs) to evaluate the urinary tract.

Women's Imaging

• Digital Mammography

  Accredited by the American College of Radiology. Recently acquired 'most advanced technology available'.

• Women's Ultrasound (US)

  Breast US, including US-guided cyst aspiration, pelvic US for evaluation of gynecologic abnormalities or masses.

• DEXA scans
  (bone densitometry)

  Evaluate bone mineral density of spine and hip to determine presence of osteopenia (diminished bone density) or osteoporosis and the relative risk for fracture as well as monitor response to treatment.

• Breast MRI

  Breast MRI is a non-invasive study performed on our high-field strength (1.5 Tesla) MRI scanner. Breast MRI is most commonly used for evaluating patients with findings on mammography highly suspicious for cancer. It is also used to locate residual tumor after surgery and tumor response to chemotherapy. It is also very helpful in evaluating the opposite breast for cancer. Breast MRI is a valuable tool for imaging patients with breast implants, which can hide lesions and tumors on conventional mammography.

Imaging Services

• Ultrasound (US)

  Ultrasound department fully accredited by the American College of Radiology for general US as well as vascular US. General US studies of neck, abdomen, pelvis, soft tissue abnormalities. Vascular US studies including transcranial Doppler, carotid Doppler, abdominal and pelvic vasculature, extremity venous and arterial imaging. US-guided aspiration, biopsies and drainages.

• Nuclear Medicine

  Full gamut of nuclear imaging including bone scans, renal scans, lung (V/Q) scans, GI imaging (esophageal reflux, GI bleeding and gastric emptying), gallbladder scans and white blood cell scans for infections. Thyroid uptake, scanning and treatment. Cardiac nuclear stress testing.

• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

  Our high-field strength (1.5 Tesla) MRI scanner provides high-resolution imaging of the entire body. MRI is used to evaluate the central nervous system (brain and spine), the extremities and peripheral joints as well as the organ systems of the neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis. MRI does not use x-ray (radiation). However, patients with history of brain aneurysm surgery, pacemaker insertion or other implantable electronic device should notify their physician prior to scheduling the MRI study.

• Computed Tomography (CT)

  Our multi-detector CT scanner provides fast, high-resolution imaging of the entire body. The speed of the CT scanner allows the chest or abdomen to be imaged in a single breath hold. Areas of the body can be scanned and examined in any imaging plane as well as in three-dimensional projections. CT is also used as guidance for biopsies and minimally invasive procedures.

• Non-Invasive Vascular Imaging Vascular Ultrasound

  Ultrasound can be used to evaluate the vascular system of the body. The arterial system can be imaged to locate and identify blockages within the vessels of the neck, arms and legs. Ultrasound is also used to detect abnormalities within vessels such as blood clots and help plan for their effective treatment. Vascular ultrasound is routinely used in the evaluation of the bdominal aorta to look for the presence of an aneurysm (abnormal ballooning of the artery).

• Magnetic Resonance Angiography

  MR angiography (MRA) is a specialized form of MRI used to visualize the blood vessels. This technique is routinely used in the evaluation of the circulation of the brain and the vessels of the neck. MRA also can evaluate the aorta, the blood supply to the kidneys and abdominal organs and circulation within the upper and lower extremities. MRA does not use x-ray contrast and therefore it can be performed on patients with kidney problems or with a history of allergic reaction to x-ray contrast.
