St. Francis Foundation

In 1997, the St. Francis Foundation was created to launch a renaissance of new growth and momentum for the Hospital. Since then, with the generous support of our community, the Foundation has raised over $25 million to renovate and expand facilities, support critical outreach and prevention programs, add state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and bring advanced medical services to our community.

Highlights of the Foundation's efforts include raising funds for one of the most advanced Heart Centers in the region; completely renovating and expanding the Emergency Department; and bringing the first robotic surgical system of its kind to Delaware—the daVinci® Surgical System. All while remaining committed to supporting critical outreach and prevention programs like the St. Clare Medical Van, Tiny Steps and the Center of Hope that provide medical care to the people in our community who need our help the most—the uninsured and underinsured.

Like all non-profit organizations, St. Francis relies heavily on philanthropy to offset its operating costs. As an institution with a mission of providing top quality, compassionate medical care to anyone in our community who needs it regardless of their ability to pay, those costs are substantial. That is why your support is so important.

If you would like to invest in the health of our community, please consider donating to the St. Francis Foundation.
