The education and the laboratory need you to complete the new glucometer online training programs that are accessible from the links below. The new meters will go live the week of January 19, 2011. This needs to be done as soon as possible. Nova Biomedical has partnered with Brainshark, Inc. to host our Stat Strip and the StatSensor On-Line Training programs. The StatStrip Blood Glucose Meter and the StatSensor programs utilize SCORM compliant learning methods that include visual aids, audio tracks, interactive questions and answers, and streaming video to optimize the learning experience. If audio is not available in some locations, the presentation can easily be followed without it. To view the training program, your staff will need a PC with access to the internet to utilize the Stat Strip and the Stat Sensor Training programs. If you have internet access, you can view the training program by clicking on the following URL link:
The Emergency Department must complete both programs.
To be completed by the Emergency Department Nursing Staff (RN's, LPN's, PCA's, ED Tech's )and the Radiology Tech's

The training program will take you approximately 30 minutes to complete. You can access the training program 24/7/365. If you or your staff exit the training program early, do not worry, when you /they come back to the program it will give you/them an option to resume right where you/they left off. Once an operator has completed the Stat Strip and/or the Stat Sensor Training programs they have the ability to print out a completion test score report. This report will be used as proof of training prior to participating in a hands-on skills based training class for new operators or for recertification purposes.
