Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Providers Renewal
The BLS Healthcare Provider Courseis designed to provide awide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognizeseveral life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or non-certified licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals who have current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel who have current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
You may elect to go to www.onlineaha.org and take the course online and print out a certificate of completion. This is good for 60 days. You then will need to call the education department to arrange for the skill completion protion. Once you have demonstrated the skills you will be issued a CPR card good for 2 years.
The cost for this option is: $17.50 on the above website and $25.00 to perform the skills demonstration.
BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual - Cost: $11 for employees and is included in the cost of the course for outside providers.
Read book prior to class and bring it with you.
