Saint Francis Healthcare provides care to our patients and participants:
mind, body and spirit. A committed team of chaplains, patient visitors
and Eucharistic ministers are available to provide comfort and care to
our patients and their families. It is our privilege to address the needs
of each patient, honoring their particular faith tradition.
Although team members attempt to meet and greet each inpatient on admission,
please do not hesitate to request a visit. Patients and families can access
this service prior to admission or during or following hospitalization
by calling the Pastoral Care Department at 302.421.4577.
The hospital Chapel, located on the 5th floor, is open 24 hours a day to
patients, families and staff of all denominations.
Catholic Mass, available on Channel 7 in patient rooms, is celebrated in
Sunday through Friday at Noon unless otherwise announced. The schedule is posted on the Chapel door.
Channel 7 also offers soothing music, water images, and Scriptural passages.
The Sacraments of Anointing of the Sick and Communion are offered to all
Rabbis and clergy of all faiths will be called upon request.
For those patients needing an Advance Directive, a Saint Francis chaplain
is available to assist.
