Saint Francis at Home recently received a 4.5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare &
Medicaid Services (CMS) for its high quality of patient care. These ratings
are based on process and outcome measures tracked by CMS and will be listed
on the Home Health Compare tool at Medicare.gov.
The Home Health Compare tool offers consumers easy access to authoritative
information on provider quality for home health agencies that are certified
by Medicare. CMS recently added the star rating ranging from one to five
stars, with five stars being the highest rating for agencies, to further
simplify and summarize healthcare performance data for consumers who need
to select a home care provider.
“Our nation is continuing to emphasize the need for healthcare programs
that are patient-focused and committed to quality improvement. This rating
shows an example of how our health system is striving to be at the forefront
of that movement,” says Brian Dietz, FACHE, president and CEO of
Saint Francis Healthcare.
